Rea® Assist - To Assist in Maximising Comfort

The Rea® Assist is ideally suited for the passive user with comfortable seating that provides enhanced postural support. The Assist has been developed for ease of use by the attendant. The improved Invacare ® Flex2 seat adds individual adaptability for stable and comfortable seat posture and user activity.

The Rea® Assist provides the user with an adjustable seat to ensure postural support and comfort, suitable for users seated over a long period of time. The highly adjustable seating system adjusts both in width and seat depth, with a specially designed cushion and armrest pad to provide all-round support.

Surrounding comfort

Extra comfort is obtained by maximizing contact with the chairs cushion. The deeply contoured back cushion provides support to the back and sides. The specially designed Lateral cover creates optimal comfort and positioning.

Tilt-in-space for relaxation

To optimize seating need, Assist has a 20º seat tilt and independent 30º backrest recline. These features allow the user to be active, while at the same time offering the option of easily tilting the seat if the user wishes to rest. The tilt and recline mechanism is operated by a gas piston or battery powered pendant control. The biomechanical backrest hinge provides support and positioning when adjusting the backrest angle.

Compatibility between product lines

The backrest attachment has been designed to facilitate compatibility between the Rea ® Assist and Rea Comfort. The Invacare ® Flex2 system offers a wide range of back support options and cushions affording individually appropriate support and comfort.
